I watched the debate last night like everyone else. Just wanted to give a few thoughts. I thought it was pretty entertaining. I thought both candidates made pretty good
arguments. As expected, both candidates
disagreed with each other. They did
agree that racism seems to be a problem in America and that bad people get guns
when they shouldn’t. I thought the
questions were a bit biased. Asking
Trump about his tax return and some really stupid question about Obama’s birth
certificate. Nothing negative was asked
to Hillary, especially about the email deletion (Trump had to bring that up). Hmm. Trump
said some mean things and Hillary Lied a few times… Overall, it was a good debate and no matter
what they said, 98% of American citizens aren’t changing their vote.
I really liked Trump’s plan on job growth/creation. Reducing taxes for ALL businesses will help
increase jobs in my opinion. Layoffs
happen when margins and profits decrease so reducing taxes will improve profits
and therefore increase jobs and decrease layoffs. Lowering taxes will also keep those
businesses in America and will give them less incentive to leave the
country. More profits also mean higher
stock prices which help anyone who invests in the stock market! Hillary’s plan to raise taxes on big
businesses will cause layoffs and will cause some businesses to leave the
country where tax incentives are better.
This is simple economics people. So you ask, with less taxes we have less
money to spend on government programs?
Yes and no. With less taxes, we
can create more jobs therefore reduce government spending on things like
welfare… Welfare is a necessary program
and we can never turn our back on our fellow American… But I’m sure most people don’t want free
handouts…
We need people in government who understand money and how to
use those tax dollars effectively. We
need to stop overspending those tax dollars.
We got into a deficit because most politicians don’t understand money
and how to cut costs. I watched American
Greed and saw how the government basically just gives out money when a vendor
asks with no auditing. For a $1 product,
the government was paying $5K, $20K, 50K plus and didn’t even know it for years… Wow. Let’s
make sure those tax dollars are spent wisely.
Please! Billions could be saved
with the right people making those decisions.
Let’s stop the stupid unnecessary spending. I know there have been breakthroughs in solar
and clean energy but let’s be smart people.
Millions and millions have been lost on those programs. Time to quit that. I’m all for alternative energy but if it’s
not working let’s stop giving away tax dollars.
Let those private company’s thrive with their businesses without
handouts.
Those are my main two issues. We need to cut taxes and we need to cut
spending. Our world and economy would be
so much better if we could come up with a solution to accomplish this.
So now for the other issues.
Hillary has stated on her website how we can defeat
ISIS. Really? Not a great strategy to tell the enemy what
we are going to do. Did she really do
this???
Something most people probably didn’t think twice about was
when Hillary said that police need better training. I think most Americans probably think that
too, HOWEVER, I felt this was one of the most disrespectful things someone
could have said in a debate. It’s like
saying everyone in America needs to learn to be less racist. Its generalizing cops saying they all need to
change. When I’m guessing 99% of cops
have been trained right and are not racist.
So my guess is that cops felt extremely disrespected by that
comment. Probably a good thing to say to
America but oh man she lost some votes from cops when she said that. I hate seeing people get killed but please
don’t say all cops need to change. Wow
Another thing Hillary said that was crazy was that she said
that we should eliminate mandatory minimum sentences and keep criminals out of prison. Wow.
No! We have those mandatory minimums
for a reason. And yes, I agree that
jails or prisons may not rehabilitate people but treatment and other means do
not either! I’m sorry to say this but
punishments are there for a reason. You
do the crime you need to do the time. I
do agree with Hillary that we need to abolish private prisons. That’s a no brainer. Who wouldn’t agree with that?
Gun control. Wow, why
was this even brought up in the debate? “Bad
People” already can’t buy guns. But no
way can we prevent anyone from getting guns.
Just like drugs. This can’t be
fixed, ever.
Police killings have happened over centuries. We are finally now seeing some of them on
video. It appears most of the time the
police made mistakes in killing those criminals. However, these videos are only creating more
racism and more division between blacks and whites. It’s sad that there is that struggle. Racism is very real in America. I know firsthand. When I was in Atlanta five years ago because
of a flight delay we tried to go into a restaurant to eat and watch the NCAA
basketball game. We were turned away at
the door and told we were not welcome because we were WHITE. Apparently only black people were
welcome. Hmm. There is a lot of racism and it’s not just white
against black. I know black people have
a harder time and unfortunately that may never change but my hope is we can
come together and treat everyone as equals.
